This weekend’s eclipse represented more than the ending of eclipse season – it also represented the end of a two-year cycle of personal and collective development.

Implicit bias is something that can exist in all areas of our lives and prevent us from reaching our highest possible vibration and point of evolution.
Implicit bias causes both overt and covert reactions based on race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, political affiliation, and many other factors.

I used to get stuck in the past quite often. I’d be comfortably moving forward, focused on something new, and I’d start to get bogged down by the “would haves” and “should haves” – the mistakes that I’d made, the relationships that I’d lost, the choices that I would have decided differently.
What changed?
I started choosing different thoughts.
Whenever a thought of the past would come up, I’d recognize it, thank the situation for the clarity it had given me, and make a conscious choice to move to a thought of the present.
It wasn’t easy to heal that habit, and I still think of the past sometimes. But I don’t get stuck there anymore. I don’t wish that things would have been different. I’m grateful for what happened because it led me to where I am today.
