I’ve felt called to explain why I no longer focus my content on crystals and their properties.
The truth is that I don’t want anyone to feel that crystals are required for healing or intuition, that crystals work as a magical manifestation wand, or that a handful of crystals carried in a bag will miraculously solve their problems.
None of those things are true.
Crystals are powerful allies that can help us along our paths. They are able to amplify intentions, intensify emotions, add energetic protection, increase our connections with our angels and guides, and more.
But crystals are not the be-all, end-all of spiritual tools. And though they increase our connections, they do not create them; nor do they set our intentions for us, shift our emotions for us, or add blanket energetic protection for us.
Crystals are there to aid us in our existing spiritual work. The work that we’re already doing, the work that we’re committed to, and the work that changes our lives.
Can crystals add a dose of motivation? Sure. Can they help us to better understand the lessons that we’re going through? Of course. But can they attract abundance, joy, peace, and good health all on their own? No – not unless those are existing intentions that we have and that we’re pursuing exclusive of the crystals.
Does this mean that I don’t use crystals anymore? Absolutely not. I still have an ample collection of healing crystals that I use in energy healing and coaching sessions, that I place in grids as needed, and that I pick up when called to. I still teach on crystals, and I still plan to offer programs that integrate crystals as healing tools.
But before I turn to the crystals, I tune inward. I connect with my higher self and guides. I ask what I need to know, what I need to work on, and what I need to clarify. And if I reach for the crystals, they’re only to amplify the work that I’m already doing – they’re not there to do it for me.
You can heal without crystals. You can tune inward without holding onto anything at all. You can solve problems with as much spiritual support as you desire, without needing to work with a crystal.
Next time you’re working on something and automatically reach for a crystal – pause for a moment. Tune inward. Ask your body and your soul what you need in that moment, what the greater lesson is, and what the next best step would be for you. If you want to grab a crystal after that, by all means, do. But you just may find that you don’t need it to accomplish your objective – you just may find that you have all that you need inside of you already.
